Movie Poster Design: Kolea liekki | 2024-25
During the production, I was responsible for still photography and ultimately designed the film’s original poster. The poster was created using behind-the-scenes photographs captured throughout the filming process.
I designed two versions of the poster: one in Finnish (Kolea liekki) and one in English (Raw Flame).

24 Hours Project | Photowalk for a Cause 2024
On July 20, I participated in the global 24 Hours Project, a photo walk with the mission of supporting Women’s Empowerment. The project challenged photographers to take one photo every hour and publish it live over the course of 24 hours.
Throughout this intense, reflective day, I captured 19 images that told stories of urban life, emotion, and resilience. One of my photographs, titled "Those Who Believe in the Rain Don’t Carry Umbrellas," was selected for the official photo collection, making it the only image representing Finland.
This photograph will be exhibited in the official 24 Hours Project exhibition in September 2025.
The Night We Carry | 2023
For many immigrants in Helsinki, nightlife offers a fleeting escape from the monotony and struggle of daily life. The clubs and neon-lit streets provide a space to forget even if just for a night.
But beneath the music and lights lies a deeper loneliness. The party scene, though diverse, is filled with isolation, a cycle of searching for connection that rarely lasts. Amid the crowd, many feel like outsiders, clinging to shared stories of displacement.
Some find brief relief; others become trapped in endless nights that never truly offer belonging only the illusion of it.
Based on this statement, I took these photographs over the course of several days, aiming to visually explore the emotional landscape of immigrant nightlife in Helsinki. Each image reflects moments of escape, isolation, and the silent search for belonging within the city's after-dark rhythm.
Street Photography | A Collection Over the Years
Street photography is one of my favorite parts of photography. It’s a good practice for learning how to see people differently and to discover how they appear when you truly look at them in a different way.
Over the years, it has helped me develop my eye and gave me the opportunity to participate in both group and individual exhibitions.
Doors and Windows: The End of an Era | 2018
In 2018, I started photographing doors and windows of old buildings and houses in Tehran and Rasht. These buildings were at risk of being destroyed to make way for modern, profitable tall apartments in the historic parts of the cities.
All these houses, along with their unique doors and windows, no longer exist today. They were part of a golden architectural period during the 1980s and 1990s.
I actively searched for the houses that were chosen to be destroyed and went to photograph them like saying goodbye to a lost part of history.
